Chapel Hill Disc Golf Course
Chapel Hill DGC is a 9-hole disc golf course on the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene property. The course is widely open with some obstacles and a few other mandatory rules in play. The tee pads are turf grass with shorter tees designated with red bricks and longer tees designated with gold bricks. All baskets are DISCatcher baskets and most locations have an alternate pin, with plans to make alternate pins for all holes by the end of 2022.
The course was installed in 2018 thanks to three members of the church: Joe Ibanez, Dustin Dimitri, and Nathan Tucker. The course is maintained and manicured by this trio with mowed fairways every two weeks during growing season (sometimes more often) and new additions to beautify the course constantly. In the Spring, wildflowers bloom in full force on the course and the fairways are often manicured to present the beauty of these flowers as well as providing some difficult landing spots for your drives! |
